Riba-roja de Túria sits about half an hour west of Valencia, where the city gives way to pine woods and open countryside along the Turia river. Masía El Graner, "the granary" in Valencian, is an old stable estate here, rebuilt for celebrations, with its own horses still grazing the meadows next to the hall. We photographed a classic Spanish wedding at El Graner: long lunch, big family, and a party that ran late into the night. If you're planning a celebration here and looking for a wedding photographer in Valencia, here's what we learned on the day.

Getting Ready in the Wooden Houses
One of the nicest surprises at El Graner is that nobody has to drive in in the morning. The estate has two wooden houses for up to six people each, a larger stone house for eight and a bridal suite, so the bride and groom can each get ready on site with their families, a short walk apart and without bumping into each other. For us it means the morning, the first look at the dress and the walk to the ceremony all happen in one place, with no rushed transfers in between.
A Ceremony Under the Trees
The ceremony takes place on a tree-lined avenue set slightly above the banquet hall, at the edge of the estate's pine woods. The branches overhead filter the afternoon sun, so the light stays soft and even on faces, and guests wait in the shade instead of under the open sky. After the vows, everyone walks down together toward the hall.
Welcome Drinks by the Stables
Before the doors of the hall open, guests gather under the covered porch at its entrance for welcome drinks. This is where the estate shows its past most clearly: saddles, tack and details from the old stables are part of the decor, and with the horses grazing nearby, the place tells its own story without anyone having to explain it. It's the liveliest part of the day for candid photos, with grandparents, cousins and children all in one frame.

The Glass Hall and the Late Night
Dinner and the party move into the large glass-walled hall, built where the stables and the old granary once stood. It's air-conditioned in summer and heated in winter, and the estate keeps a separate indoor space for dancing in the colder months. The kitchen is run by the venue's own chef, with Mediterranean cooking and generous portions that couples mention in nearly every review, and the evening can run until four in the morning.

What to Know Before Booking
- Size: the glass hall seats up to 350 guests; the estate works best for around 100 to 250.
- One wedding a day: the whole estate is yours for the day.
- Staying over: two wooden houses, a stone house and a bridal suite on site.
- Families with kids: there's a children's area, and the venue can arrange a kids' entertainer.
- Taxis home: on Saturday nights ride-hailing apps can be slow out here. Ask the team to book return taxis in advance.
- Sky rules: the estate is under Valencia airport's flight path and keeps horses, so drones and fireworks aren't allowed.

From Our Lens: A Photographer's Insight
The ceremony avenue is the best light on the estate: open shade from the trees, no harsh contrast, and a natural frame of trunks and branches behind the couple. The second place we always head to is the porch at the hall entrance, where the stable details and the crowd of family give the candid frames a sense of place you don't get at a newer venue.
What we liked most is how relaxed the team keeps the day. The coordinators run the timeline quietly in the background, the open bar and the DJ take over after dinner, and the dessert table appears right when energy dips. Couples rate the venue 4.9 out of 5 on bodas.net, and the coordination comes up in almost every review, which matches what we saw from behind the camera.
Reserve Your Date
El Graner hosts one wedding a day, so your date is either free or it isn't. If a relaxed, generous Spanish celebration close to the city is what you're picturing, let's check that yours is still open.
A Note on Budget
El Graner is one of the more affordable estates this close to Valencia, with an open bar, DJ and dessert table included in its menus. Photography pricing here depends mostly on how long your day runs, and Spanish weddings tend to run long: lunch, speeches, dinner and dancing into the night. For a wider view of the market, we've put together a guide to what wedding photography costs in Spain, from regional price ranges to what's usually included.
